Au Philh de l'Eau
Programmation, Urban design and First Draft
Master 1

The project takes place on a 600x100 meters land along an wider part of the Brussels canal. The goal was to establish a mixed programmation and design the urban space that surrounds it. This work follows a global master plan made by Master 2 students.
Our Response was to design a typology of apartment buildings along the canal that would address the need for housing in the area, leading to a Philarmonical to the South.
The housings recreate a built front on the avenue, maximizing views on the canal without privatizing the waterfront. Little squares create a rythm along the avenue, opening views and giving access to the public docks.
The documents were realized in collaboration with Joselin Bourin.

The programmation is anchored by a large equipement at the scale of the city, a philharmonical. Our work then focused on the design of the public space around a first draft of the buiding.
